Jason!!!!

While it’s still very much on the bubble, I feel at peace with the show no matter what happens, and I am grateful to it for giving JD the exposure he’s too damn shy to seek himself. And for giving him, it looks like, finally!, a working atmosphere where he is having fun and feeling hell of a lot happier.
A lot of interviews, articles, videos, photos, etc. have cropped up in the past week. Due to the New York City Comic Con and the Paley Center Moonlight Panel taking place one after another. For Jason fan, it’s a good time!
The goodies:
The NY Comic Con:
First and foremost, our Very Special Correspondent, logansmytvboyfriend at A-Dohring Crowd, brought us some exclusive goodies! For which she should be recognized as the sainted individual she is. :)
Jason at NY Comic Con
She also brought us videos, as well as photos:

Jason soundbite:
There's nothing better, dude. You can buy all the whatever you want, but sitting around with a cigar and chattin' with my boy, here, is a really good time. We film till really late, so we'll sit around on the WB lot at 2 in the morning, when nobody's there, and just look up at the WB sign and go, "What the f--- are we doing here?" It's beautiful.
Jason, you and your statements are f***ing beautiful. Don’t ever change!

Blog-Talk Radio
Here’s a lengthy, good interview. Seriously, it’s 50 minutes long, so make sure you have time to listen. Some of it is stuff we already know, but there are very interesting new things.

Jason Dohring, Moonlight Interview
Jason on blood-drives:
”Oh, dude! What they take, I mean, you notice it. You're like, "Oh sh*t I'm short a quart!" You can feel it. They don't let women do it if you're under like 115 pounds or something. It's your life blood. But it was cool, man, they give you a bag of chips afterwards, which is great, and a Snickers bar to get your blood sugar back up. [laughs] And even without the candy, it's someone's life.”
And even without the candy, it’s someone’s life! This has got to be my new favorite quote! ROTFL! Jason, seriously, pleaaaaase, never change!

Alex and Jason are about a 1.42 min. in. It’s very short, but hysterical! And her comment: “Those Moonlight boys were a blast.” Indeed.

Another article:

”A charming individual with a positive outlook on his career, he is quiet, unassuming, and generous. He was very candid about his own career experiences, discussing his audition technique, role preparation and his personal connection to opera.”
Amen to that!

Okay, ignore the Purple Monster Kristen. Someone called her “worst moderator ever” and in these days of botched political debates it’s a title one has to fight for. The rest of the pictures are fun!

In conclusion, for some AMAZING close-ups, go to the Moonlightline forum:
The person who took the photos (Missy?) did a wonderful job and deserves credit!

Whatever happens to the show, Jason has made a real impression and gained some amazing new fans (who had never even seen him in VM prior to this). And THAT is the real positive outcome of the year that followed the cancellation of VM. As a huge fan, I am very glad for him.

Wow, thanks for putting this all together. I've been following the posts at ADC, but it's so nice to have it all in one place that you can easily refer to. This is going in my memories, tout de suite.

So much word. We've said it time and again, what we wanted most out of this was to get Jason the exposure he deserves, and he's definitely getting it.
And as you mentioned above, he seems really happy and that's wonderful to hear as a fan. I think the potential is there for Moonlight to become really good TV, and so I hope it does get a second season. It deserves the chance to really shine, and of course, to focus more on Josef!

Exactly.
I, too, have some hopes for the show in terms of quality. I could see a lot of improvement tonight. Of course it's nowhere near great yet, but compared to what it was... Seriously, they need to step back from Mick and Beth somewhat and let others in. They seem to be doing some of it, thank goodness, so we'll see.
So much Jason in one post. I love it!!! Thanks so much for this!
All of the ComiCon interviews and related stuff have shown just how much he's growing up. In the best possible way. Sometimes I think Jason Dohring is an anachronism in today's world. Or maybe a paradox? Not sure. On the one hand, his way of speaking (all the "Dudes!" and such) is very much today. On the other hand, his values are old world, understated, and yet show in every aspect.
I've loved Jason as Logan and will continue to. After all, Logan showed the same paradoxical way of looking at life. But Jason growing up? It's just beautiful to see. He's becoming, I think, more in tune with himself. Less inhibited about showing the world who he is.
You are so right that whatever happens to "Moonlight" Jason has made an impression on a lot of people. I hope that can carry over into more and varied avenues for his acting. Because when all is said and done -- that's what he does. And better than almost any other actor working today. Yes, he's a physically beautiful man. But there are many physically beautiful men that I wouldn't turn the TV on to see or go to a theater to see, either.
Thank you so much for this post.
It's a very interesting observation about Jason's throwback ways. I like it a lot, obviously. It's rare and it's not put on. Genuine. And growing up with that intact, it seems. Which is something that makes me glad.
But there are many physically beautiful men that I wouldn't turn the TV on to see or go to a theater to see, either.
Agreed. Movies and TV are chock full of pretty people. For any taste or preference. And while the looks may get people in the door, they are seldom what will sustain them. Jason makes a memorable impression. However little screen time and material. And that's talent and something to watch.
I wouldn't mind at all. Post away. I am glad people are finding this, because one of the reasons I did the post was to collect the links all together for easy viewing. :)
And thank you!
I can't even articulate how happy I am to see Jason get this sort of exposure. Now if only the movie parts would start coming in.
I am with you on being happy and crossing fingers for the movie parts. :)
I agree with your assessment of how Jason has gain great exposure from Moonlight and his future does look bright - wohoo.
I'm going have fun looking at his so thanks again! :)
I'm glad he's doing well. He deserves it.
There are more things coming out, and I think I need to update. LOL. Which I don't mind at all, because, like you said, he deserves it! :)
